DIRECTOR OFFICE OF WORKER SAF ND HEALTH POLICY OFFICE OF HEALTH AND SAFETY SUBJECT: Proposed Cancellation of Department of Energy HDBK-1148, Work Smart Standards Users Handbook The Office of Worker Safety and Health Policy submits for review and comment in the RevCom system for the Technical Standards Program (TSP) the cancellation of the following standard: HDBK-1148-2002, Work Smart Standards Users Handbook This standard is proposed for cancellation because the Directives for which it provided implementation guidance and good practices have been cancelled. Those Directives are: e DOEN 450.3, Use of the Necessary and Sufficient Process; ¢ DOEM 450.3-1, DOE Closure Process for Necessary and Sufficient Sets of Standards; e DOE G 450.3-1, Documentation for Work Smart Standards Applications: Characteristics and Considerations; © DOE G 450.3-2, Attributes of Effective Implementation, and ¢ DOE G 450.3-3, Tailoring for Integrated Safety Management Applications.
